All Drywall Removed
Even if some of the drywall was not Chinese, the court ruled that all of the drywall
should be removed and properly disposed of. This meant that cabinetry on the wall
in the kitchen and bath rooms needed to be removed so that the drywall behind
the cabinets be removed. Beginning to sound expensive. Well we are just
beginning.
All Insulation Should Be Removed and Disposed Of
Ruled that the insulation in the walls and ceiling be removed and disposed of. You
see they reasoned that in removing the drywall that a lot of the Chinese drywall
dust would get on the insulation; therefore it must be disposed of.
All Copper Plumbing Be Removed and Replaced With New
The sulfur fumes from the Chinese drywall caused the copper pipes to pit and
corroded (note -  In some homes leaks have occurred). Therefore, all copper
piping must be replaced.
All Carpet (and padding) Removed and Replaced
This includes the wood flooring if it is damaged during the removal of the drywall,
cabinets and the many other components of the home that must be removed and
replaced.

"the drywall (Chinese Drywall) in Plaintiffs home is not fit for its ordinary / or
intended purpose." This resulted in the following findings about the home and
what must be done.

The sulfur fumes from the Chinese drywall caused corrosion and the copper wiring
to be faulty. This may lead to fires or create other life safety problems.
Sulfur Gases Attacks Items with Silver As Well As Copper
The sulfur fumes can attack items where Silver is present and result in failures.
Silver is present in Light switches, circuit breakers, thermostats, computers,
televisions and appliance with circuit boards and switches.
All Copper Electrical Wiring  - Removed & Replaced With New

Light Fixtures
Any light fixture with either copper or silver components or wiring needs to be
replaced.
Entire HVAC System Needs To Be Replaced
Thus, the furnace, A/C unit, including the insulation on the air-handler must be
replaced with new.
Certification From An Environmental Consultant
After the work / remediation is complete, then it must be Certified that the work
preformed is compliant with the court orders and that the home is safe from a
health standpoint..
Cleaning After Work
The home must be vacuumed with HEPA filtered equipment and wet-wipped down.
Clothes, Furniture, Etc.
Included in the judgement was money for cloths, furniture and other personal
items that incurred damage or odors. Since the home must be vacant for 4 to 6
months while the work is being preformed, then additional cost will be incurred.
